These scammers will sound legitimate, they will send photos of their “products” and even produce a contract without ever following through (Contract attached). They will happily receive money via CashApp as deposit because you cannot get it back. We tried to get them to take PayPal and they claimed they did not know how to do it. And as time goes by and as victims ask questions, they will give you the run around and never provide a single product as promised, we dealt with both Larry and Amanda and each text was filled with excuses and lies for weeks on end.
Amanda and Larry both continuously made-up excuses for not being able to deliver our order then ended up giving us a sob story about father Larry being sick and that she was only 17 years old helping out her dad by using her CashApp, she avoided all of our questions and requests. On top of that, after telling me that she was only 17 years old, try to pull on my heartstrings and say that she would go into her savings account and send me the money, and then get it back in her father. You guessed it, all total BS. I kept asking where is my money, where’s my money. Never a response after that.
Larry would also text us with excuse after excuse about not being able to provide even 1 of 30 custom-made dog houses we paid him to build. We gave K-9 Cribz more than ample time, even weeks after the first doghouse was to be completed, we gave them time for to redeem themselves and provide products we paid for, but in the end, they just ignored our calls, texts and emails.
Eventually, we found what seems to be Amanda’s Facebook page. It seems she’s a little older than 17 by just a few years, as a matter-of-fact 23 years older. Facebook puts her at 40 years old, and it seems clearly running a scam with her father Larry Padgett.
Update 3/25/21
Larry posted a statement on Facebook today about his inability to refund customers because he has fallen ill and will get back to work as soon as his doctors release him. Although unfortunate, it is no excuse for his daughter to lie over and over, no excuse for her to lie about her age and absolutely no excuse for either Larry or his daughter to stop returning texts, emails or multiple phone calls. They appear to continue taking business but can’t work. They need to take down their site and refund the money to all customers/victims, including ours.
